AZ Rod Ends Warranty & Return Policy

Lifetime Bend or Break Warranty

Rod Ends / Heim Joints

AZ Rod Ends warrants that our rod ends (heim joints) will not bend or break in service. If a rod end sold by us bends or fractures — the body, the shank threads, or the ball — we will replace it free of charge for as long as you own it.

This warranty applies to on-road, off-road, and competition use alike, provided the joint was installed correctly and operated within its rated load and misalignment limits.

How to think about it: if the part deformed or came apart, it's covered. If it wore out, it isn't.

What "Wear" Means

And Why It Isn't Covered

Rod ends are a wear item, the same way brake pads, ball joints, and tie rod ends are wear items. The ball and race are in constant contact under load, and that contact eventually removes material. This is normal, expected, and not a defect.

The following are wear conditions and are not covered under any warranty:

• Play, slop, or free movement developing in the joint
• Loss of preload or rotational resistance; the joint becoming loose or sloppy over time
• Clicking, knocking, rattling, or squeaking from a worn ball and race
• Elongation or ovaling of the ball bore from repeated loading
• Loss of surface finish, liner wear, or polishing of the ball
• Any condition caused by contamination — dirt, sand, mud, water, or debris entering the joint

There is no time or mileage limit on wear because there is no way to predict it. A rod end's service life depends entirely on load, environment, misalignment angle, and duty cycle. Inspect your rod ends regularly and replace them when play develops.

Manufacturing Defect Warranty

Our accessories are covered against manufacturing defects only. This includes:

• Jam nuts
• Misalignment spacers
• Weld-in threaded tube bungs
• Bolt size adaptors

A manufacturing defect means the part left our hands wrong: incorrect or out-of-spec threads, wrong dimensions, incomplete machining, cracks or voids in the material, or a part that does not match its listed specification.

Accessories are not covered for bending, breaking, wear, thread galling, corrosion, or any damage occurring in service. Defect claims on accessories must be made within 30 days of delivery.

Not Covered Under Any AZ Rod Ends Warranty

• Wear, as described above
• Damage from installation error, including over-torquing, cross-threading, insufficient thread engagement, or improper support of the joint body during tightening
• Damage from exceeding the product's rated static or dynamic load
• Damage from operating beyond the rated misalignment angle, or from the shank or bolt contacting the body at full articulation
• Welding on, heating, bending, drilling, re-machining, re-plating, or otherwise modifying the part
• Damage from a crash, collision, impact, rollover, jump landing, or contact with the ground or an obstacle
• Corrosion, rust, pitting, or finish discoloration
• Damage from use with mismatched, worn, or non-AZ Rod Ends hardware, bungs, or adaptors
• Cosmetic imperfections that do not affect function
• Parts used in aircraft, aerospace, lifting, hoisting, personnel support, or any application where failure could cause injury from falling or dropped loads
• Normal maintenance, inspection, and periodic replacement
• Labor, alignment, towing, downtime, rental, race entry fees, lost time, or any other incidental or consequential cost
• Products not purchased directly from AZ Rod Ends or an authorized dealer

Who Is Covered

This warranty extends to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Proof of purchase from azrodends.com or an authorized dealer is required for all claims.

Making a Claim

1. Email info@azrodends.com with your order number, a description of the failure, and clear photos of the part — installed if possible, plus close-ups of the damaged area.
2. We will review and respond within 5 business days. We may ask for additional photos or request that the part be returned for inspection.
3. If a return is requested, we'll provide return instructions. Return shipping to us is the customer's responsibility; if the claim is approved, we cover shipping of the replacement.
4. Approved claims are resolved by replacement with the same or an equivalent current product. Where replacement is not possible, we may issue a refund or store credit at our discretion.

Replacement parts carry the remainder of the original warranty and do not restart it.

Limitation of Liability

Rod ends are frequently used in steering, suspension, and other safety-critical applications. Proper selection, sizing, installation, inspection, and maintenance are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and installer.

AZ Rod Ends' total liability under this warranty is limited to replacement of the product or refund of the purchase price, at our discretion. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AZ Rod Ends is not liable for any incidental, consequential, special, or indirect damages, including property damage, vehicle damage, personal injury, or death arising from the use or misuse of our products.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary by state. Some states do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising under this warranty shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
